On Tuesday (18/5) at 8.30 am, the Institute of Research and Community Services, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, will hold a Round Table Discussion on "Toward A Welfare State, Social Protection for All". One of the speakers include international academia Dr. Göran Axel Adamson of the Copenhagen University, Denmark & Malmö University, Sweden. Apart of Dr. Adamson, the Institute for Welfare Democracy's (IWD) chairman Mr. Budiman Sudjatmiko will also give his presentation on what are the political agenda needed to fulfill imperative of providing social protection for all in Indonesia, and what are the policies needed to fill the gaps in the existing ones.
Apart from the two aforementioned speakers, Mrs. Binny Buchori of the
Perkumpulan Prakarsa, will also be a speaker. She will talk about the implementation of welfare state in Indonesia up to date, and the lessons learned from the experience so far. The overall discussion will be moderated by the IWD's director Martin Manurung.
The Round Table Discussion will take place at Yustinus Building, 14th Floor, Room 1403, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, on Jalan Jend Sudirman 51 Jakarta.
